Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you use BenXmark, we collect:

  • Analytics screenshots: images you upload are processed to extract metrics. Original images are not stored after processing.
  • Extracted metrics: numerical data from your screenshots (follower counts, engagement rates, etc.) is stored anonymously — with no handle or identity attached — to build community benchmarks. This only happens when you press submit.
  • Result links: a result URL encodes the submitted metrics inside the link itself so it works permanently. Anyone you share it with can see those numbers.
  • Email address: only if you voluntarily provide it for a platform waitlist or feedback.
  • Usage data: basic analytics about how the service is used.

2. How we use your information

  • To compute benchmark comparisons against accounts of similar size
  • To improve benchmark accuracy through aggregated, anonymous data
  • To notify you about platform launches you voted for (only if you opted in)
  • To respond to your feedback and support requests

3. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:

  • Service providers: third-party services that help us operate (hosting, AI metric extraction, analytics)
  • Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights

4. Data security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Data retention

Uploaded images are processed in memory and not permanently stored. Extracted metrics are retained anonymously to improve benchmark accuracy. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
